♦ What is Multilayer PCBA?
A Multilayer PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is a fully
assembled board that contains three or more conductive copper
layers separated by insulating material (prepreg/core) and
laminated together under heat and pressure. Unlike a bare
multilayer PCB, the PCBA includes all components soldered onto the
board, making it a functional electronic module.
Key Points:
Layers: 4, 6, 8, 10+ copper layers (signal, power, ground planes).
Assembly: Components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.)
are mounted via SMT and/or THT.
Interconnects: Blind/buried vias, microvias, and plated
through-holes enable dense routing.
